1st XI suffered a hammering at Whittle-le-Woods. Dale won the toss and elected to bowl first on a green soft deck. Things started well, Taylor accounting for the top 3 inside the first 10 overs. McIver came out at 6 and smacked the ball to all parts, hitting 5 4’s and 7 6’s on his way to 89 off 73 balls. Whittle were eventually bowled out for 193, a total which turned out to be beyond Dale. The innings never got going, only Rehman Shah managing to get to grips with the wicket before falling for 24.
2nd XI continued their promotion charge with a hard fought win over Tarleton. Dale won the toss and bowled first, restricting Tarleton to 117-8 off 45 overs with contributions across the bowling line up. Dale were made to work hard for their runs and despite a mini collapse, managed to get over the line thanks to 37 from Anis Vahaluwala.
Sunday XI had another bad day at the office, Leyland setting 181 to win and then bowling Dale out for 103.
